osCommerce Website Developers based in Brooklyn New York. We are experts in all aspects of osCommerce including design, Add Ons and custom code development.
We quote fixed price for all work based on the scope of the work to be done and the skill set required to do it.
Our rates are:
- Graphic Design, Programming, Testing $75 an hour
- Analysis and User Interface Design $90 an hour
- Consulting (Business Planning, SEO/SEM) $125 an hour
- Project Management $125 an hour
We always recommend you get a fixed price quote rather than simply comparing rates.
Where it is not possible to quote a fixed price due to the investigative nature of the work, we quote a Time & Materials with a ceiling limit. If we can complete the work within the limit we will. If not then, before the end of the limit, we will advise you of the status and recommend to you what, if anything, can be done next.
Support work is paid 100% up front.
Payment is acccepted via PayPal. We send Money Requests as our quote. Payment of the Money Request is acceptance of our quote. Your receipt is the PayPal payment record. Where payment is made by check, payment is not deemed to have been made until the funds are cleared.
Large support jobs are treated as Projects.
When working on projects such as a new site or a site redevelopment, payment terms are as follows:
- 50% non-refundable deposit
- 25% on handover to user acceptance testing
- 25% prior to loading to your server or one month after handover for user acceptance testing, whichever is the earlier.
Payment is acccepted via by check. Payment is not deemed to have been made until the funds are cleared.
Any changes to scope will be costed at the time and factored into the payment schedule. Any changes post hand over for user acceptance testing are paid for up front. Once payment is made, it is not refundable.
Should you cancel a project prior to handover for user acceptance testing, payment will still be required for work in progress. We will advise you of any money owing at the time of cancellation. Once we give notice that the project is ready to handover for user acceptance testing, no cancellations will be accepted and all outstanding payments will still need to be made regardless of whether you test or take delivery of the project work.
Any consulting work is paid for in advance. In the event that you decide to cancel the work once it has commenced then no refunds will be provided.
Our quote plus these terms constitute the full agreement. Your written acceptance of our quote and/or payment of a deposit constitutes your acceptance of our terms. In the event you wish to cancel the quoted work, no monies will be refunded and payment for any work in progress shall be required; refer Projects above.
Please note all agreements are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
Whoever develops the graphic design retains copyright over that design.
Whoever is author of the code retains copyright over that code.
Copyright will not be assigned.
All software is distributed under General Public Licence.
We provide 3 months warranty on work undertaken as Fixed Price.
Warranty is for defects only in code we have written.
Warranty does not include defects in code we have not written.
Where a reported defect is determined to not be a defect then rectification is billable work.
Work done under Time & Materials or other payment arrangements including payment plans and/or discount is not covered by Warranty.
Environmental issues such as the hosting environment changes are not covered by Warranty.
Third party software such as payment and shipping modules and shopping feeds are not covered by Warranty.
Warranty is subject to no other party changing the code during the warranty period.
Warranty commences on the date final payment is due not paid. For fixed price projects the warranty start date is one month after handover for user acceptance testing.
We reserve the rights to change these terms at any time.
