The results from the Nielsen Company funded research into Video viewing (Do they do it on TV or Computer? Is it live TV versus DVD) have been recently released. Part of that research reveals how long people spend surfing the web each day by age group …
Looking at those results we can see that “Any Web” browsing seems to decrease with age with 18-24 year olds spending 67 minutes per day on their computer browsing the Internet and 20 minutes looking at emails. Interestingly though it peaks again in the 35-44 age group.
Whereas email usage increases not decreases with age until you get to the over 55’s and perhaps the retirement factor kicks in.
Bottom line the 35-44 group are the biggest users of the Internet today.
