We provide osCommerce hosting exclusively for our customers so they can be sure that their site environment is stable and secure.

We offer two levels of hosting:

• Standard

  Standard hosting is on a dedicated server where server resources with approximagely 30 other sites. There are no hard disk or bandwidth limits. The only limit is one site per account.

• Managed

  Managed Hosting includes all Standard features but offers additional "webmaster" services required for osCommerce sites that many clients do not wish to perform themselves.

We have dedicated servers leased from HostDime.   We limit hosting to approximately 30 sites per server and those sites share its capacity.  You get "virtual" unlimited hard disk and bandwidth, meaning that we load balance to ensure there is enough capacity  for everyone - no-one runs out.  It's like having your own dedicated server without the hassle or costs.

Who do we host?
We only host our clients. Sites we have developed or already support. We don't host unknown sites that could wreak havoc on server performance which is what happens at commercial hosting companies. We don't allow access to a server by "strangers" so we do not host sites where third parties are given access to the code because this is simply a security risk for every site on the server. So if you host with us you agree not to let third parties access to your site unless you have our prior agreement.

How do we monitor?
Our servers are fully managed by Hostdime with whom we have developed a close working relationship. They are automatically monitored. We are sent hourly email reports on server status and we are immediately advised of any events that require attention. In addition, weekly event logs are perused to ensure nothing untoward has been happening. Individual site CPanel error logs are manually checked for attempts to breach security. Suffice to say we do anything and everything we can think of to provide a secure hosting environment.

What is your backup cycle?
We use the standard cpanel cycle of daily, weekly and monthly. Backups are stored on a separate hard disk to that of your site to mitigate the impact of hard disk failure. We do not keep any offsite backups of your code or database. You need to do that or get us to do it via our managed hosting package.

Do I get a control panel?
We use Cpanel which is the leading industry hosting panel solution. It provides you with all the tools you need to manage your own hosting environment. You would use CPanel to setup email accounts, secure directories, take personal backups and look at domain traffic statistics. Unlike other hosting environments, you can also set up cron jobs, look at your error logs and if needed, be given temporary ssh access.

What if I don't want to worry about my site at all?
ozEworks has introduced the concept of "managed hosting". Under our managed hosting agreement, we do more than host your site. We look after it as if it was our very own. Over 50% of our hosting customers now use managed hosting and according to them teh cost more than pays for itself.
