Google Trusted Stores Being Retired

Google Trusted Stores is being retired.  It is going to be replaced with Google Customer Reviews.
Google already has a review process but it is not the same as Customer Reviews.  Customer Reviews are from people who have made a purchase from a website; so they are only for eCommerce sites.  Whereas, Google Reviews can be left for any type of business by anyone.
If you have implemented Trusted Stores on your eCommerce site then you need to:

• remove the badge
• remove the checkout code
• stop any cron jobs sending tracking data to Google.

You then need to sign up for Google Customer Reviews, if you want, and add that code to your site instead.
